The DIgSILENT PowerFactory Simulation and Analysis Software went live in Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) Network on Tuesday 03/01/2012.

PDO is one of the Shell operating companies and has the largest privately owned electrical network in the region. The company electrical network is vertically integrated and spans over 100s of km from north to south of Oman. PDO has rigorously evaluated the software and invited independent experts to carryout extensive comparisons between different products before opting for DIgSILENT PowerFactory software.

PDO is running PowerFactory in a server environment with a multi-user database. Applications cover all kind of static and dynamic analysis typically required for large interconnected systems with industrial characteristics.
